ligo_proxy_utils provides utilities for generating short-lived X.509 credentials for LIGO.ORG identity holders.

Warning

Support for identity-based X.509 credentials is being dropped. Calls to this utility will stop working on/around 20 May 2025.

Installation

The easiest way to install ligo-proxy-utils is with Conda or Pip:

Installing ligo-proxy-utils with conda
conda install -c conda-forge ligo-proxy-utils
Installing ligo-proxy-utils with pip
pip install ligo-proxy-utils

Usage

The main user interface is provided by the ligo-proxy-init script. Simply run:

ligo-proxy-init albert.einstein@LIGO.ORG

replacing albert.einstein with your LIGO.ORG user name. For full details see ligo-proxy-init.
